The Nanaimo Climate Action Hub held another presentation in the Local Nanaimo Solutions to the Climate Emergency series, Electric Vehicle Infrastructure in Nanaimo on October 28, 2021.

Transportation is Nanaimo’s single largest source of greenhouse gas emissions. EV’s are not the entire solution to de-carbonizing transportation but, in BC where 95% of our electricity comes from renewable sources, they are helping to reduce GHG emissions. (Not to mention improving air quality and reducing traffic noise.) Our aim is to learn more about existing local systems and best practices so that we can be effective advocates for changes that will accelerate the conversion to EVs.
